Gwangju Urban Railway Corporation Establishes '2021 Basic Safety Plan'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation (President Yoon Jin-bo) announced on the 29th that it held a board meeting at the headquarters situation room and approved the '2021 Basic Safety Plan' on the 29th.
On this day, the corporation finalized 14 tasks across four major areas, including strengthening safety inspection activities for disaster prevention, conducting safety education by inviting external experts, and emergency response training for disaster prevention, concretizing the direction of safety management for Gwangju Metropolitan Rapid Transit in the coming year.
The corporation also decided to strengthen the 'Safety and Health Network' of participation and cooperation by operating the 'Safety Work Council' involving labor unions and partner companies, and the 'Safety Management Committee' with participation from external experts.
Additionally, it plans to thoroughly establish a safety infrastructure by continuously maintaining certification of the Safety and Health Management System (KOSHA 18001) supervised by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency.
Along with this, it will enhance preventive capabilities by proactively discovering and managing vulnerable areas through joint facility inspections involving experts, and strengthen the system to feedback these findings into future plans.
