Most Confirmed as Family Infections... 8 in Jinju, 4 in Sacheon, 2 in Changwon
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] As the number of new domestic COVID-19 cases returned to the 1,000s after three days, cluster infections continue unabated in Gyeongnam.
As of 10 a.m. on the 29th, Gyeongnam Province announced that 15 confirmed cases occurred: 8 in Jinju, 4 in Sacheon, 2 in Changwon, and 1 in Haman.
Among the 8 confirmed cases in Jinju, 3 are family members of case 1238 and were classified as cases 1247 to 1250. Additionally, the spouse and two acquaintances of case 1240 tested positive and were classified as cases 1251 to 1253, and a woman in her 40s who had contact with case 1239 was classified as case 1254.
In Sacheon, 4 confirmed cases were reported. Two people who had contact with case 1226, whose infection route is unknown, participated in a university student volunteer program and tested positive, classified as cases 1243 and 1244. Two men in their 40s related to the cluster outbreak in Sacheon tested positive and were classified as cases 1245 and 1246, respectively.
The 2 confirmed cases in Changwon tested positive after contact with case 1241 and were classified as cases 1255 and 1257.
