On the 28th, according to major foreign media, the Shanghai Pudong New Area People's Court sentenced citizen journalist Zhang Zan (37), who was accused of "public disorder," citing Zhang's lawyer.
Zhang Zan, who is also a former lawyer, reported from the Wuhan area last February. At that time, Zhang criticized the authorities for not disclosing sufficient information to residents and for locking down the city. It is reported that this is the first court ruling related to the case.
