Shinhan Investment Corp. Partners with PSX to Launch 'Seoul Exchange' for Unlisted Stocks
Unlisted Stocks Can Be Easily Traded Like Regular Stocks
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Shinhan Financial Investment is partnering with PSX, an operator of an unlisted stock trading platform, to launch an unlisted stock trading service.
Shinhan Financial Investment announced on the 28th that it will officially launch the 'Seoul Exchange' service through a partnership with PSX. PSX is a company participating in Shinhan Financial Group's startup incubation program, 'Shinhan Futures Lab,' and was designated as an innovative financial service by the Financial Services Commission in April, allowing it to conduct unlisted stock trading operations without a financial investment business license.
The new 'Seoul Exchange' service provides stock information and analysis reports on major unlisted companies. It facilitates the exchange of stocks and cash simultaneously by attracting startup over-the-counter stocks from angel investors, accelerators (startup development experts), and stock option holders.
Customers wishing to trade unlisted stocks can register as members on Seoul Exchange and open a Shinhan Financial Investment account via mobile to conduct trading. The system submits orders electronically, similar to regular listed stocks. To support this, Shinhan Financial Investment has provided account opening and trade execution systems.
