View original imageThe first plenary meeting of the Ministry of Unification's 2021 Policy Advisory Committee will be held on the 28th.
On this day, the Ministry of Unification announced, "The 2021 Policy Advisory Committee members, appointed for a one-year term on November 15, will hold their plenary meeting on the 28th at 3 PM at the Open Communication Forum on the first floor of the annex building of the Government Seoul Office, with Minister Lee In-young attending. The meeting will be conducted in a hybrid format, combining small-scale face-to-face consultations with non-face-to-face methods."
The meeting, prepared as part of communication on inter-Korean policy with the private sector, is expected to evaluate this year's inter-Korean relations and discuss policy directions for the coming year.
In consideration of COVID-19 prevention measures, only Minister Lee and two advisory committee members will attend the on-site meeting, while the remaining advisory members will participate online.

Professor Kim Yong-hyun of Dongguk University's Department of North Korean Studies serves as the chairperson. The committee consists of a total of 95 experts across six subcommittees: Unification Policy, Inter-Korean Talks, Exchange and Cooperation, Humanitarian Cooperation, Situation Analysis, and Unification Education. Among them, 42 are female members and 8 are youth members. The policy advisory committee members for next year were appointed as of the 15th of last month, with a one-year term.
