Calligraphy master Jin Seong-yeong from Seoksan recently announced on the 27th that he successfully completed the 'New Island Cultural Tourism Exploration Experience Program' in Jodo, Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do.
This program includes calligraphy experiences along with seasonal winter sea activities such as oyster picking, seaweed (tot) harvesting, and satgat clam gathering, as well as collecting ginkgo nuts, exploring scenic spots, and trekking the Gwanmae 8 Views.
However, in accordance with the COVID-19 era, the program is conducted with strict quarantine rules and a reservation system limited to groups of five or fewer.
A tourist who participated in the program said, "Sharing food like fresh seasonal wild oysters and seasoned tot through the experience, and doing calligraphy in the evening, made the memories unforgettable."
Artist Jin said, "I am very happy to see city dwellers comforted during COVID-19, feeling happiness on the island for a short time and taking good memories with them," adding, "All experience programs are carried out based on strict quarantine measures and a reservation system for groups of five or fewer."
