According to a press release from the People Power Party's Media Special Committee on the 27th, it was claimed that Secretary Tak instructed KBS on production policies during the live broadcast of President Moon Jae-in's '2050 Carbon Neutrality Vision Declaration.'
The special committee cited internal text messages from KBS, pointing out that "in addition to simply broadcasting the screen in black and white, there were specific production instructions such as 'no insertion of any color subtitles or logos on the black and white screen.'
They added, "These actions undermine the fundamental purpose of the Broadcasting Act, which treats fairness and independence as core values," and argued that "there was regulation or interference in broadcast programming."
Earlier, KBS denied the allegations, stating, "During the black and white video broadcast, the logo at the top left and the sign language video at the bottom right were broadcast in color," and "there was no directive from the Blue House."
