On the 25th, Lee Nak-yeon, leader of the Democratic Party, stated on Facebook, "Our party will thoroughly review the issues of the prosecution highlighted in the court's decision. In particular, we will continue to strongly and systematically pursue prosecutorial reform to prevent abuse of prosecutorial power, unfair investigations, and political interference."
He added, "To that end, we have expanded and reorganized the existing 'Power Institution Reform Task Force' within the party into the 'Prosecutorial Reform Special Committee,' with Yoon Ho-jung, chairman of the National Assembly's Judiciary Committee, appointed as its head. We will also prepare to ensure the smooth launch of the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Agency (Gongu-cheo)."
Regarding the ruling that led to Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-youl's reinstatement, he criticized, "Public concern has grown that South Korea's judiciary is excessively dominated. There are lamentations that the judicialization of politics and the politicization of the judiciary have crossed dangerous thresholds."

Lee said, "The court pointed out that the surveillance documents on judges were 'highly inappropriate.' Regarding the obstruction of the Channel A case investigation, the court judged that it had 'somewhat expired.' The court did not grant Yoon a complete pardon." He added, "In that regard, I believe Yoon should feel responsible as a public official."
