Neowiz Appoints Kim Seung-cheol as New CEO... Transition to Co-CEO System
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Neowiz announced on the 24th that it has transitioned to a co-CEO system and appointed Kim Seung-cheol, Chief Operating Officer (COO), as the new co-CEO.
Kim Seung-cheol, the newly appointed CEO, joined Neowiz in 2002 and worked in the Neowiz web board business division and the Japanese subsidiary GameOn until 2008. After returning to Neowiz in 2012, Kim served as head of the mobile game business division and later as head of the game business headquarters. Since June of this year, he has been leading the business as COO.
After assuming the CEO position, Kim plans to focus on strengthening the competitiveness of the game business, including internal production and securing new intellectual property (IP).
CEO Moon Ji-soo will oversee the company’s overall management, including establishing mid- to long-term growth strategies and directions, as well as risk management.
Through the establishment of this co-CEO system, Neowiz plans to enhance expertise in each division to prepare for the rapidly changing future and achieve solid growth.

Kim is expected to be officially appointed as CEO after the board meeting in March 2021.
