Chairman Yoon said to reporters on the day, "Kim Do-eup, the floor leader of the People Power Party, has submitted his resignation and says he no longer has authority," adding, "However, they are not designating anyone with authority, and we are continuing to attempt consultations, but if they do not agree to consult by today, we will just hold the subcommittee tomorrow."
Assemblyman Kim Do-eup submitted his resignation from the standing committee on the 9th, taking responsibility for the passage of the amendment to the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Office (PCC) Act. It is unknown whether People Power Party floor leader Joo Ho-young's resignation has been accepted.
Chairman Yoon said, "We cannot do anything if they refuse to consult. If the floor leader has resigned, they should at least designate a deputy floor leader."
