On the 23rd, they held a press conference in front of the main gate of Gyeongnam Provincial Government Office, sharply stating, "G.A. Industry must stop evading responsibility and immediately reinstate the dismissed workers."
G.A. Industry, a company specializing in surface treatment of aircraft parts, saw a sharp decline in sales due to the impact of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), leading to the closure of 3 out of 5 subsidiary companies and the dismissal of 25 affiliated workers.
In response, the union reported the illegal dispatch issue to the Ministry of Employment and Labor. The Jinju branch of the Ministry recognized the violation of the Dispatch Act and referred the case to the Jinju branch of the Changwon District Prosecutors' Office.
The union pressured, saying, "They treat workers like disposable tissues," and demanded, "Sacheon-si must take all administrative measures against the unscrupulous G.A. Industry."
At the same time, Gyeongnam Province and Sacheon-si raised their voices, stating, "Measures must be devised to protect the employment and livelihood rights of G.A. Industry's workers."
G.A. Industry is currently refusing to reinstate the dismissed workers, claiming it cannot admit to the allegations until the court's decision is made.
