Binggrae Yoplait Topping Surpasses 40 Million Units Sold
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] Binggrae announced on the 23rd that the cumulative sales of its flip yogurt product, Yoplait Topping, launched two years ago, have surpassed 40 million units in just two years.
The flip yogurt market, which allows consumers to add toppings such as nuts and cereals to yogurt, has grown significantly from 30 billion KRW in 2018 to about 70 billion KRW currently since the launch of Yoplait Topping. Despite numerous latecomers entering the market, Yoplait Topping continues its steady growth, recording annual sales exceeding 10 billion KRW.
Following the existing products ‘Dark Choco,’ ‘Oat & Apple Cinnamon,’ and ‘Pretzel & Choco Chunk,’ Yoplait Topping recently expanded its lineup with the new product ‘White Choco & Cookie Crumble.’ ‘Yoplait Topping White Choco & Cookie Crumble’ was developed inspired by white chocolate and cheesecake, popular choices among millennial consumers at dessert cafes. It features a richer taste by adding the aroma of cream cheese to sweet white chocolate and crispy cookie crumble.
Meanwhile, Yoplait Topping plans to hold the ‘Yoplait Bok Topping’ event until early February next year. ‘Yoplait Bok Topping’ is an event where customers who post a purchase verification photo on Instagram receive prizes such as an iPhone 12 or AirPods via DM from the character ‘Topping Guy.’ Additionally, a winter season limited package of Yoplait Topping will be introduced.
