Hamyang-gun Operates Joint Design Team ... Budget Savings Effect
Technology Exchange, Enhancement of Work Competence, and Minimization of Resident Inconvenience
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 23rd that it will operate a joint design team until the end of February next year to revitalize the construction industry, strengthen the capabilities of technical public officials, and achieve budget savings.
This joint design team will be led by Kang Deuk-man, head of the Construction and Transportation Division, and will consist of 17 technical public officials from the county office and eup/myeon offices, operating for 70 days until February 28 next year.
Through the detailed design of 228 construction projects worth 5.57 billion KRW under the jurisdiction of the Construction and Transportation Division this year, it is expected to save 180 million KRW in design costs.
The joint design team is organized into three groups for field surveys and measurements, and preparation of design documents, facilitating technical exchange and capacity building between senior and junior technical public officials. It is anticipated to prevent potential problems and complaints before they arise on-site, thereby reducing residents' inconvenience during the construction process.
The county plans to prioritize the completion of designs for projects that can be constructed during the winter season and issue orders promptly. As soon as winter ends, projects will be ordered to ensure swift execution.
