Hapcheon-gun to Implement Updated Sarang Gift Certificates in 2021
Introduction of Card-Type Gift Certificates, Addressing Issues of Fraudulent Distribution and Simplifying Payment Methods
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 23rd that it will diversify the types of Hapcheon Love Gift Certificates, which are effective in revitalizing the local economy and increasing the income of small business owners in the area, and significantly expand the places where they can be purchased.
The currently used paper-type gift certificates have raised concerns about illegal distribution, and the mobile-type gift certificates have been criticized for having complicated payment methods, making it difficult for elderly people to use them.
The county expects to address the drawbacks of existing gift certificates, such as illegal distribution issues and complicated payment methods, by introducing card-type gift certificates.
The card-type gift certificates are scheduled to be introduced in April 2021 through the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation in the form of prepaid check cards.
The card-type gift certificates will allow easy purchase (charging) methods both offline and via mobile, enabling those who have had difficulties using the existing mobile gift certificates (such as the elderly and those possessing mobile phones under another person's name) to use them easily.
To commemorate the launch of the card-type gift certificates, the county plans to prepare various events, including charging a basic amount of 3,000 won upon the first card issuance.
The sales agencies for the paper-type Hapcheon Love Gift Certificates, which were previously only available at the NH Nonghyup Bank Hapcheon Branch, will be expanded to up to 12 locations and implemented starting April 2021.
