Kosepe 'High Five Campaign' Donates 44 Million Won in Proceeds

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Sale Festa Promotion Committee announced that on the 23rd at 9 a.m., they will hold a donation ceremony for the 2020 Korea Sale Festa sharing and donation event, the 'High Five Campaign,' at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The event will be attended by Minister Sung Yun-mo of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Kim Yeon-hwa, Chairperson of the Korea Sale Festa Promotion Committee, Ye Jeong-seok, President of the Community Chest of Korea, Jerome Kim, Secretary-General of the International Vaccine Institute, and influencer Belle J, who contributed to promoting the campaign.
The Korea Sale Festa 'High Five Campaign,' planned for the first time, was promoted to spread messages of hope by encouraging and supporting each other among consumers and businesspeople. Products worth approximately 214 million KRW were sold, and 44 million KRW in proceeds were accumulated as donations.
Chairperson Kim said, "Various organizations including the public, companies, government, local governments, and public institutions participated together in the High Five Campaign," adding, "The participation of influencers in promoting the campaign led to the expansion of the culture of sharing and donation."
Minister Sung said, "We gathered small sincerity for neighbors in need who face difficulties during the year-end and New Year holidays," and added, "I hope this campaign becomes an opportunity to lead to greater sharing."
Earlier, from the 1st to the 15th of last month, the Korea Sale Festa saw participation from 1,784 companies, more than double that of the previous year. All 17 cities and provinces nationwide joined.
According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Korea Sale Festa is evaluated to have helped stimulate domestic demand and revitalize local markets and regional economies.

The Ministry explained that ▲ goods worth about 200 million KRW were sold through the sharing and donation event 'High Five Campaign,' ▲ about 1,600 people participated in the Korea Sale Festa support campaign 'Thumbs Up Challenge,' and ▲ page views on the Korea Sale Festa website increased more than fourfold to approximately 28.6 million compared to the previous year, indicating increased public participation.
