'KB Miguk Daepyo Seongjangju Fund' Surpasses 100 Billion KRW in Net Assets Just 7 Months After Launch
[Asia Economy Reporter Geum Bo-ryeong] KB Asset Management's 'KB US Representative Growth Stock Fund' surpassed 100 billion KRW in net assets about 7 months after its launch.
KB Asset Management announced on the 22nd that as of the 18th, the net assets of the KB US Representative Growth Stock Fund reached 110.3 billion KRW. The fund was launched on May 25.
This fund invests more than 70% in leading US growth companies such as Google, Apple, and Amazon, with some portion allocated to defensive stocks. The proportion of growth and defensive stocks is adjusted according to market conditions to pursue alpha returns. The representative US growth stocks are high-quality companies continuously generating profits based on new growth drivers such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
As of the 18th of last month, the sector allocation showed IT at 30.3%, the highest, followed by communication services at 18.2%, and materials at 12.1%. By individual stocks, Amazon accounted for 7.0%, Apple 6.8%, Ericsson 5.8%, and Nike 5.6%.
The KB US Representative Growth Stock Fund's returns were 4.07% over the past month and 22.84% over six months, the highest among funds of the same type.
Kim Young-sung, Executive Director of the Global Operations Division at KB Asset Management, said, "Until last year, there were five US growth stock-related funds, with most of the assets under management held by the foreign AB US Growth Fund. The fact that the KB US Representative Growth Stock Fund surpassed 100 billion KRW in a short period since its launch in May this year is particularly meaningful," adding, "This result reflects the combination of KB Securities' professional research and KB Asset Management's operational know-how, leading to high performance."
