Lotte Shopping Operates Non-Face-to-Face Psychological Counseling Center for Employees to Overcome 'Corona Blue'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte Shopping has launched psychological counseling support to help employees overcome 'Corona Blue.'
In response to the anxiety and depression experienced by employees due to the resurgence of COVID-19, Lotte Shopping's depression awareness campaign 'Rejoice' has prepared psychological quarantine measures, including self-diagnosis and online psychological counseling.
First, free psychological counseling will be provided to all employees and partner company employees until the end of January next year. Due to COVID-19, all counseling sessions will be conducted non-face-to-face, and any employee who wishes to openly share their feelings can apply. After taking an online psychological test, individuals can receive personalized psychological counseling for about 50 minutes covering emotions, family, interpersonal relationships, and more. Notably, this examination has been expanded to include partner company employees working together in these challenging times, symbolizing a joint effort to overcome difficulties.
In addition, applications for self-diagnosis were accepted in early December, and about 100 employees are currently undergoing the examination. The test is conducted by individually sending the URL of a site where applicants can assess their psychological and self-status, answering 90 questions to self-evaluate. Employees requiring additional counseling can apply for free counseling based on their results. Lotte Shopping plans to significantly increase the number of self-diagnosis participants and conduct additional sessions in early February next year due to the rising demand for employee counseling.
Kim Hak-su, head of Lotte Shopping's CSR team, said, "We prepared this self-diagnosis and counseling program to care for the minds of employees and colleagues feeling anxious due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation," adding, "We plan to conduct the self-diagnosis, currently limited to a certain number of participants, for more employees in February next year to support employees' psychological stability."
