View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 22nd that it has been re-certified in the 'Family-Friendly Certification Excellent Institution' evaluation hosted by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.
The family-friendly certification system is a program that certifies companies and public institutions that operate family-friendly systems exemplary to support work-family balance through an evaluation process.
The county first obtained new certification in 2015 and has been exemplary in promoting family-friendly systems even after extending the validity period of the family-friendly certification in December 2018.
As the validity period expired in November 2020, after document screening and an on-site evaluation including an interview with the county governor as the top executive, the county has maintained its status as a family-friendly certified excellent institution until 2023.
Gu In-mo, governor of Geochang-gun, said, "This re-certification is the result of continuous communication and efforts with employees to improve the quality of family-friendly life," adding, "We will strive to discover various policies and spread a healthy organizational culture."

Meanwhile, the county is promoting various projects to create a family-friendly workplace culture, including operating Family Day every Friday, flexible working hours for commuting, encouraging parental leave systems, operating customized welfare systems, family-friendly workplace education, and a child-accompanying work system that allows employees to work with their children balancing work and childcare.
