View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that from midnight to 6 p.m. on the 21st, the number of newly confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) identified in Seoul was 188. Accordingly, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Seoul rose to 15,227.
Among the new confirmed cases on that day, 5 were imported cases, and the remaining 183 were domestic infections.
Among ongoing cluster infections, 5 new related confirmed cases were reported at a church in Gangseo-gu, 1 at a correctional facility in Songpa-gu, and 1 at Call Center II in Jung-gu.
There were 106 cases categorized as 'contact with other confirmed cases,' 6 as 'contacts of confirmed cases from other cities/provinces,' and 64 cases were 'under investigation for infection route.'
The number recorded at the same time the previous day was 150, but it surged over the following 6 hours, totaling 328 for the entire previous 24-hour period.
