TIPA Holds Meeting with Supported Companies of Small Business R&D Project
Listening to On-site Voices on Support Programs for Digitalization of Small Business Owners
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] The Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA) announced on the 21st that it held a non-face-to-face video conference on the 18th at the Pangyo SME Technology Innovation Center to share the main progress of the project and discuss future improvement directions with the representatives of the 10 companies selected for the 'Small Business Owner Lifestyle Innovation R&D Project BM Development Task.'
The Small Business Owner R&D Project BM Development Task is a project that supports service innovation so that small business owners can proactively respond to the recent increase in online shopping and changes in consumption and distribution trends due to the 4th Industrial Revolution technologies. After discovering business models for small business service innovation and going through the BM planning process (July to November), 10 tasks are finally selected, and up to 400 million KRW in R&D funds will be supported over the next two years.
During this non-face-to-face video conference, opinions were presented including ▲ sharing the achievements of excellent small business stores ▲ alleviating the cost burden on small business owners for the introduction of related technologies and services ▲ interest from local governments and the government for the success of digital business models related to distribution such as local currency, commerce, and payment.
