Gimhae City to Accept Applications for 2021 Agricultural New Technology Dissemination
22 Billion Won Invested to Promote 137 Projects in 5 Sectors
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] The Agricultural Technology Center of Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 21st that it will accept applications for the pilot project for the dissemination of new agricultural technologies until January 22 next year.
The pilot project for the dissemination of new agricultural technologies aims to foster regionally specialized crops and increase farmers' income by rapidly spreading research and development technologies to the field. With a budget of 2.259 billion KRW, it will promote 137 projects across 67 types in 5 fields, including farmer education.
Applicants should submit a project plan and application form to the Agricultural Technology Center. After document and on-site evaluations, the final selection will be made by the City Agricultural Industry-Academic Cooperation Deliberation Committee.

Kim Sang-jin, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, “For next year's projects, we will accept applications more than half a month earlier than usual to meet farmers' demands, and start project implementation from early March, before the main farming season, to do our best in disseminating new technologies and crops for new income to increase farmers' income.”
