Hwasun-gun Selected for 'Baegamyeon Milling Facility Installation Project' by Yeongsangang Office
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 21st that the "Baeka-myeon Rice Milling Facility Installation Project" was finally selected in the 2021 Resident Special Support Public Contest Project hosted by the Yeongsan River Basin Environmental Office, receiving 854 million KRW in national funding.
The Baeka-myeon Rice Milling Facility Installation Project will invest a total project cost of 1.018 billion KRW starting next year (854 million KRW from funds, 82 million KRW from local government, and 82 million KRW self-funded) to construct a new rice milling building and install 13 types of rice milling machines.
Once the rice milling facility installation project is completed, local residents will be able to handle rice milling within the township without having to travel to other areas, which is expected to result in significant time and economic savings.
Nearby residents will also be able to use the facility, so the utilization of the rice milling facility is expected to be high.
