Government Opens Public Recruitment for Korea Arts & Culture Committee Member Candidates
Email and Mail Submissions Accepted Until the 4th of Next Month
On the 21st, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that it is openly recruiting candidates for the Korea Arts Council's music, dance, and general culture committees. Applications, including application forms and work performance plans, can be submitted via email or mail until the 4th of next month. Anyone who has been active for more than 10 years in the fields of cultural and artistic creation, research, planning, or related cultural and artistic organizations is eligible to apply. Professionals from the legal, education, media, and economic sectors with insight into culture and the arts are also eligible.

The Korea Arts Council is an organization established under Article 20 of the Act on the Promotion of Culture and Arts. It supports projects and activities for the promotion of culture and the arts. The council members deliberate and decide on matters such as the establishment and modification of basic project plans and the formulation and implementation of council operation plans to ensure smooth execution. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has formed a recommendation committee composed of private members to ensure a fair and transparent candidate recommendation process. This committee recommends twice the number of final candidates to the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism through document and interview evaluations.
