View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] The labor and management of Korea GM held the '2020 Wage and Collective Bargaining Agreement Signing Ceremony' and finalized this year's labor-management negotiations.
The signing ceremony held on the 21st at the Bupyeong headquarters was attended by Kaher Kazem, President of Korea GM, Kwon Sujeong, Vice Chairperson of the National Metal Workers' Union, and Kim Seonggap, Head of the Korea GM branch of the National Metal Workers' Union, who signed the agreement as representatives of labor and management negotiations.
Since the initial meeting on July 22, both sides of Korea GM labor and management held a total of 26 negotiation sessions, and on December 10, they reached a tentative agreement including key points such as a 4 million KRW performance bonus for 2020 and future development prospects containing plans for production investment and domestic sales improvement.
Subsequently, in the two-day union member approval vote held on December 17 and 18, a total of 7,304 union members voted, of which 3,948 members (approval rate 54.1%) approved the tentative agreement, thus finalizing this year's wage and collective bargaining negotiations.

As Korea GM finalized the 2020 wage and collective bargaining agreement within the year, the company plans to steadily proceed with its management normalization plan in the new year of 2021 to establish a solid foundation for the company's long-term sustainability.
