KakaoBank Launches Campaign Supporting First Donations by Teenage Customers
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] KakaoBank announced on the 21st that it will conduct a campaign to support 'first donations' with teenage customers from the 18th to the 27th.
This donation campaign was designed to allow 'KakaoBank Mini' customers to participate. The Mini financial service, targeting teenagers aged 14 to 18, surpassed 550,000 subscribers within two months after its launch last October. Mini customers can choose one of several donation causes within the KakaoBank app to support. KakaoBank plans to donate 1,000 KRW for each customer support.
The donation targets were selected considering the diverse interests of teenagers. These include ▲rescue projects for animals in crisis, ▲support for warm winter supplies for elderly living alone, and ▲reducing plastic waste for the environment. After completing support, users can share with friends to encourage donations and raise awareness among those around them.
Detailed information can be found on Kakao's donation platform, ‘Kakao Together’ website.
