Online Video Tour of Sejong Center Performance Halls 'SejongON Tour' Released
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] From the 21st of this month, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts will offer the performance hall tour video series "Sejong ON Tour" for free in both Korean and English on its official YouTube channel for about a month.
"Sejong ON Tour" is a program that allows viewers to explore every corner of the Sejong Center's performance halls and internal and external facilities, which have a 40-year history, accompanied by expert commentary from the "House Manager" responsible for the performance hall environment and services. In particular, it offers a rare look at the VIP room, the pipe organ, and the Mecenat Room, which are usually difficult to see in detail.
Sejong Center has been operating a paid tour program called "Sejong Tour" for youth and the general public, visiting four performance halls (Grand Theater, M Theater, Chamber Hall, and S Theater) three to five times a month, but it has been suspended to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Considering ways to continue the performance hall tour program even in a non-face-to-face situation, Sejong Center produced "Sejong ON Tour." The "Sejong ON Tour" video begins with an explanation of Nam June Paik's video art "The Tiger is Alive" in the Grand Theater lobby and the hidden meaning behind the bat pattern decoration on the second-floor railing, then continues for 12 minutes through the Grand Theater seats, VIP room, Mecenat Room, historical archive, Chamber Hall, and S Theater.
