STX CEO Arrested for Manipulating Test Scores to Secure Orders Worth Over 10 Billion Won
"Arrest Warrant Issued Due to Fear of Escape and Evidence Destruction"
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Three people, including the CEO and employees of STX Engine, an engine manufacturing company in Changwon, Gyeongnam, were arrested by the prosecution on charges of falsifying product test reports to secure orders worth 10 billion won.
The Changwon District Court recently issued arrest warrants for Song Jonggeun, CEO of STX Engine, and two employees, stating there was a "risk of flight and evidence destruction," according to the Changwon District Prosecutors' Office on the 18th.
They have been under investigation by the prosecution for allegedly falsifying product test reports of emergency generators supplied to Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power last year to secure orders worth 10 billion won.
