Kolon FnC's New Mquiri to Launch in March Next Year
Reducing Product Lines and Targeting 3040 Demographic
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Fashion company Kolon Industries FnC Division (hereinafter Kolon FnC) will launch a renewed new product of the cosmetics brand 'Mquiri' in March next year. The product line will be expanded, focusing on high-functional products targeting the 30s and 40s age group.
According to related industries on the 18th, Kolon FnC has completed the renewal work of the Mquiri brand and plans to release new products in March next year. Mquiri is Kolon FnC's own skincare brand launched last year when the company first entered the cosmetics business, and the renewal was carried out just one year after its launch.
The renewed Mquiri will be released with two lines, Volume and Elasticity, and three product groups: serum, cream, and sheet mask. The lineup was simplified by boldly omitting core product groups such as skin, lotion, and cleansing from the existing three lines and 15 product groups. Reflecting recent trend changes that reduce skincare steps and use only minimal cosmetics, the focus was placed on product groups such as serum and cream, which received good responses from customers before the renewal.
The target age group was also segmented to the 30s and 40s. A Kolon FnC official said, "We plan to reorganize and present the brand targeting the 30s and 40s, where demand for functional products is concentrated, actively reflecting the fact that Mquiri had particularly good customer responses to high-functional products before the renewal."
This renewal direction of Mquiri is interpreted as a strategy by Kolon FnC to differentiate from the product lineups and customer groups of 'Likewise,' which was launched as the second brand in September. Likewise focuses on skincare products that supply moisture to sensitive skin and targets teenagers in their 10s and 20s, using ingredients safe even for delicate teenage skin. The package design also emphasizes eco-friendliness, gaining favorable responses from the 10s and 20s age groups.
