Korea Rail Network Authority and Yonsei University Collaborate for Training Railway Professionals

View original image[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Korea Rail Network Authority announced on the 18th that it has signed an industry-academic cooperation agreement with Yonsei University to foster railway professionals.
According to the agreement, both institutions will mutually cooperate in establishing and operating railway-related departments, involving Korea Rail Network Authority employees as adjunct professors, jointly conducting research projects, and exchanging human and material resources.
The Korea Rail Network Authority has also signed similar agreements with Seoul National University and Korea University to cultivate railway experts.

Kim Sang-gyun, Chairman of the Korea Rail Network Authority, stated, “The railway industry has recently been recognized as a core sector of the digital and green economy in line with the government’s Korean New Deal policy. Based on industry-academic cooperation with Yonsei University and others, the Korea Rail Network Authority will do its best not only to nurture future railway talents but also to cultivate outstanding personnel who will lead the government’s Green New Deal.”
