This year, due to the complete suspension of indoor sports facility operations caused by COVID-19, the marine sports activity program has been highly evaluated for significantly providing comfort to citizens.
The Pohang City Sports Council Marine Sports Team conducts marine sports education programs such as dinghy sailing, windsurfing, and surfing mainly as experiential activities for the general public every year. This year, due to the COVID-19 situation, the program was operated from July 1 after a preparation period, reducing the usual capacity by 50%.
As part of the Marine Sports Academy project, 474 people participated in the 'Marine Leisure Intensive Development School,' and 658 people participated in the 'Sailing Club Development Class,' totaling 2,218 participants in the Marine Sports Academy project.

He added, "Next year, we will strive to overcome COVID blues through marine leisure healing programs and more."
