Lotto Commission Happiness Sharing Volunteer Group Supports Winter Supplies for Vulnerable Groups
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] The Ministry of Economy and Finance Lottery Commission's Happiness Sharing Volunteer Group announced on the 17th that, in response to the resurgence of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), they supported winter supplies to vulnerable groups such as the homeless, marginalized children, and elderly living alone instead of winter volunteer activities.
On the same day, Second Vice Minister An Il-hwan of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Volunteer Group Leader Hani visited the Seoul Municipal Eunpyeong Village, a shelter for the homeless, and delivered daily necessities to the homeless.
They also donated four heating and cooling units to the child welfare facility Myeongjin Deulkkot Sarang Village and 100 winter blankets to elderly people living alone without family in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
