The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced on the 17th that it has recently completed Landmark City No. 1 Sports Park and will open it to the public starting January next year.
The park covers an area of 149,000㎡ excluding the 40,000㎡ Songdo Waterfront project section, out of a total area of 189,000㎡, with a total project cost of approximately 21.3 billion KRW.
Main facilities include a baseball field, soccer field, futsal field, and multipurpose field, along with a lawn plaza, outdoor water play area, picnic area, and playground designed for family visitors. Nearby, a clean forest with coastal walking trails along Aamdo, gardens planted with flowers and wildflowers, and scenic rest areas have also been created.
Located between the northern waterway of Dalbit Festival Park and Incheon Bridge, the completion of Landmark City No. 1 Sports Park is expected to improve the space beneath Incheon Bridge that runs through Songdo and establish the area as a place where residents of Songdo Districts 6 and 8 can engage in sports and cultural activities and find healing.
