Sinbokwi Receives Deputy Prime Minister Award for Economic Education Excellence
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] The Credit Recovery Committee announced on the 17th that it received the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance Award at the ‘2020 Korea Economic Education Awards’ hosted by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance and the Economic Education Organizations Council, in recognition of its efforts to promote non-face-to-face financial education during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite the difficulties in conducting face-to-face education until the end of last month this year, the Credit Recovery Committee continuously developed customized educational content and diversified channels such as interactive remote education, providing non-face-to-face education to 296,882 people, an increase of 292.9% compared to the previous year.

Chairman Lee Gye-moon said, “In the changed circumstances where face-to-face education is restricted due to COVID-19, active responses such as developing non-face-to-face education lecture techniques that consider the learners’ perspectives are necessary,” adding, “We will continue to provide effective customized financial education to financially vulnerable groups who use the Credit Recovery Committee’s debt adjustment programs or the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency, striving for economic recovery and substantial credit restoration.”
