Silicon Works' Sharing Activities for Low-Income Households
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Silicon Works announced on the 17th that it conducted sharing activities for low-income households near its domestic business sites in Yangjae, Seoul, and Daejeon.
Silicon Works plans to deliver 6,000 briquettes to vulnerable households in Yangjae-dong through the nonprofit organization ‘Sarang-ui Yeontan Nanum Undong’ this month and install two latest water purifiers at Jaehyewon, a child welfare facility in Daejeon.
To celebrate Christmas, on the 24th, the company will gift sneakers worth approximately 6 million KRW to about 40 children, including preschoolers.
Since 2018, the company’s employees have continuously participated in various volunteer activities supporting the local community, such as ‘Sarang-ui Kimjang Nanugi’ (sharing kimchi), ‘briquette delivery,’ and ‘free meal service.’
