Sweeping 6 Award Categories in This Year's Rural Development Projects
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongwook Park] The Sangju City Agricultural Technology Center in Gyeongbuk Province (Director Sangdon Son) announced on the 17th that it won the 'Grand Prize' in the 2020 Rural Development Project Provincial Comprehensive Evaluation.
The Sangju City Agricultural Technology Center achieved excellent results this year in various fields such as nurturing future agricultural manpower, supporting customized technology dissemination to solve on-site technical difficulties, commercializing processed agricultural products, and operating scientific farming facilities.
The Gyeongbuk Provincial Agricultural Research and Extension Services conducts a comprehensive evaluation of 12 items including professional competency development every year to select outstanding institutions that contributed to the dissemination of rural development project achievements and economic revitalization among city and county agricultural technology centers, and awards them at the end of the year.
The Agricultural Technology Center received the honor of winning a total of six awards, including the 'Grand Prize' as an outstanding institution in the provincial comprehensive evaluation of rural development projects, the 'Excellence Award' in the Women's Farmer Farming Secrets Contest hosted by the Rural Development Administration, the 'Outstanding Award' in the New Technology Field Dissemination and Technology Promotion Innovation Case Contest, the 'Excellence Award' in the Agricultural Disaster Response Best Practices Contest, the 'Encouragement Award' in the Non-face-to-face Education Content Contest, and the 'Outstanding Team Award' in the Agricultural Technology Institute's Best Team Contest.
