NS Home Shopping Donates 15 Tons of Rice to 'Bappeo Nanum Movement Headquarters'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] NS Home Shopping announced on the 17th that it delivered 15 tons of rice to the 'Bapper Sharing Movement Headquarters' operated by the social welfare corporation 'Dail Welfare Foundation' on the 15th.
The rice delivered this time was prepared through the 'Miracle of 1kg of Rice' campaign held on November 11th in celebration of 'Farmers' Day.'
'Miracle of 1kg of Rice' is a rice consumption promotion campaign that NS Home Shopping has been implementing for five years to support Korean farmers struggling due to decreased rice consumption and to help neighbors in need. Since its inception in 2016, approximately 160 tons of rice have been accumulated through the 'Miracle of 1kg of Rice' campaign.

This year, through the ‘Miracle of 1kg of Rice’ campaign, NS Home Shopping accumulated 1kg of newly harvested rice for each TV broadcast product sold, creating a total donation volume of 30 tons. Of this, 15 tons were delivered to the ‘Bapper Sharing Movement Headquarters,’ which serves free lunches daily to elderly people living alone, wanderers, and homeless individuals. The remaining 15 tons were donated to the ‘Community Chest of Korea (Fruit of Love) Gyeonggi-do Branch’ and will be distributed to recipients in the Gyeonggi-do area.
