[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Busan City will hold the "13th Korea-China Marine Industry Forum" online from 10 a.m. on the 17th.
The forum is organized by the Shanghai Marine Science Society (Chairman Li Do-ji) and the Marine Industry Research Institute (Director Lee Soo-ho) to promote the development, cooperation, and exchange activation of the marine industry between Busan and Shanghai.
In the morning international academic conference, session presentations will be made on topics such as ▲Standardization of Korea-China maritime technology terminology and ▲Development plans for Korea-China fisheries technology. Following this, session presenters and experts will discuss ways to secure competitiveness in the marine and fisheries sectors of both cities through a comprehensive discussion.
From 2 p.m., a corporate exchange meeting will be held centered on the "Yangtze River Delta-Busan Marine Industry Cooperation and Exchange Promotion Association," launched last year, where companies from both cities directly participate. The exchange meeting, held in the form of a video conference using Zoom, will involve a total of 21 companies from the Busan-Shanghai region.
During the exchange meeting, discussions will be held on "Practical crisis overcoming measures for companies in the post-COVID-19 era" and future operation plans of the Yangtze River Delta-Busan Marine Industry Cooperation and Exchange Promotion Association.
This year's forum is held in a non-face-to-face manner online, continuing a new form of exchange between international cities amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
