[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) will hold the ‘History Concert K-CONCERT’ online on the 19th through the official Gwanak-gu Office YouTube channel ‘Live Gwanak’.
Under the theme ‘Speaking and Singing about Gwanak’s Democracy, Peace, and Human Rights,’ this event is organized to provide local residents, weary from the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, with a sense of historical awareness and an engaging performance online.
The event is part of a collaborative governance project jointly promoted by Gwanak-gu, the Gwanak Democracy Walking Village Tourism Project Promotion Team, and the Park Jong-cheol Memorial Association. It will present new content that combines lively cultural performances with potentially dull historical lectures.
The event will be broadcast live on the official Gwanak-gu Office YouTube channel ‘Live Gwanak’ from 4 PM to 6 PM on the 19th, featuring a historical special lecture by author Hong-gu Han (professor at Sungkonghoe University) and musical performances by four groups: indie band Redrow, classical ensemble Adagio, singer Saesil, and tenor Jo Jun.
The history of Korea’s democratization and the history of Gwanak’s democracy, which was part of that movement, will be combined with lively cultural performances, offering a meaningful gift of time to residents tired from the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
