10 Confirmed COVID-19 Cases at Chungbuk Goesan Seongmo Hospital... 274 People Undergo Complete Testing
[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] Eight additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 have occurred at Seongmo Hospital in Goesan, Chungbuk.
According to Goesan County on the 16th, two inpatients at the hospital tested positive in the morning, followed by six patients and two staff members testing positive in the afternoon. This brings the total number of confirmed cases at the hospital to 10.
On the same day in the morning, Goesan County implemented cohort measures at Goesan Seongmo Hospital to block contact with the outside, and is conducting a full investigation of 274 patients and staff.
The two confirmed cases in the morning had been long-term inpatients at Hospital A and Hospital B in Eumseong County due to fractures and other conditions, and were transferred to this hospital on the 30th of last month and the 7th of this month, respectively.
They were discharged from Goesan Seongmo Hospital on the 15th and underwent COVID-19 testing before returning to the hospitals in Eumseong County where they had previously been admitted. After staying about five hours at the hospitals in Eumseong County, they tested positive and returned to Goesan Seongmo Hospital.
