Veteran Families Receiving Benefits Share Their Love
Delivery of Onnuri Gift Certificates Worth 60 Million Won to Children of National Merit Recipients
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Baekin General Construction Co., Ltd. (CEO Yang Yosik) and Baekin I Will Co., Ltd. (CEO Yang Kwangsik) donated Onnuri gift certificates to the Gwangju Regional Veterans Office, asking them to be used for veterans' families in need.
According to the Gwangju Veterans Office on the 16th, Baekin General Construction and Baekin I Will, operated by children of national merit recipients, donated gift certificates worth approximately 60 million KRW.
The CEOs of both companies, children of a national merit recipient (the late Yang Haecheon), made the donation to give back for the benefits they have received from the government, to help veterans' families facing difficulties, and to contribute in some way to overcoming the economic situation caused by COVID-19.
Based on pride in their father, who is buried at Daejeon National Cemetery, they signed an MOU with the Gwangju Regional Veterans Office to support socially marginalized neighbors in the community through love-sharing for veterans' families and promised regular sponsorship.
Im Seonghyun, head of the Gwangju Veterans Office, said, “I deeply appreciate that the grown children of a national merit recipient have repaid national veterans’ services through this donation.”
