Announcement of New Projects and Non-Face-to-Face Transition Initiatives for the Post-Corona Era

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Yeosu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Park Yong-ha) held the "23rd 9th Standing Committee Meeting" on the 16th in the Yeosu Chamber of Commerce meeting room to review and approve the business plan and budget (draft) for next year.
During the meeting held in compliance with COVID-19 quarantine rules, the Yeosu Chamber announced that its business goal for next year is to seek ways to enhance the future competitiveness of local industries amid rapidly changing domestic and international economic conditions and socio-economic changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to revitalize the local economy, and to improve member companies' productivity and create a dynamic business environment by providing practical member services aligned with the times.
In particular, as key projects for next year, the Chamber plans to implement new projects suited to the times such as the "Video Conference System Establishment Support Project," "Health Checkup Support Project for Member Company Executives and Their Families," "On-Off Hybrid Distinguished Guest Lecture Series," "Corporate Practical Package Online Courses," "Online Mandatory Legal Education Site Construction," "Non-face-to-face Online Content Utilization Practical Courses," "Yeosu National Industrial Complex Promotional Video Production," and "Family Love Drive-in Movie Day" to support member companies' management activities and improve labor welfare environments in the COVID-19 environment. It also plans to significantly implement projects to enhance regional future competitiveness such as the "Petrochemical Industry Future Outlook Online Symposium" and the "Untact MICE Forum."
Additionally, to expand operational funds beyond membership fees and strengthen corporate support services, the Chamber will also reinforce the Job Support Center and Education Support Center projects. Existing government and local government cooperative projects such as the "Youth Employee Tomorrow Filling Deduction," "Youth Digital Job Project," "Youth Work Experience Support Project," "Youth Job Matching Support Project," "City Bus Driver Training Project," and "Industrial Complex Worker Free Commuter Bus Support Project," as well as newly attracted projects like the "Youth Tomorrow Filling Deduction," "Large-Medium-Small Win-Win Joint Training Center Operation Project," and "Forklift Operator Training Project" will be implemented.
A Yeosu Chamber official stated, "In the ongoing domestic and international economic downturn amid concerns of COVID-19 resurgence, we will focus on resolving corporate difficulties and providing customized services to member companies as key tasks for next year to normalize management and achieve a new leap forward."
Meanwhile, prior to the meeting, a commendation ceremony was held to award plaques of appreciation to those who contributed to the construction of the new Yeosu Chamber building this year.
