According to Daegu City on the 16th, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety conducts an annual evaluation of the operation performance of the resident participation budget system targeting local governments to discover and spread excellent models of resident participation budget system operation.
Despite the spread of COVID-19 this year, Daegu City was evaluated for leading active citizen participation by switching to non-face-to-face methods such as online general meetings and cyber budget academies before budget formulation. Especially in this year's evaluation, even as the scope expanded from 7 special/metropolitan cities to 15 special/metropolitan cities and provinces, Daegu City once again earned the honor of being recognized as the best institution nationwide.
