[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (County Governor Jeong Jong-sun) announced on the 16th that it recently launched an employer street promotion campaign to improve local youths' awareness of labor rights.
This campaign targeted places where many youths work, such as cafes, convenience stores, restaurants, and bakeries located in Jangheung-eup.
Jangheung-gun and Jangheung Youth Training Center distributed Ministry of Employment and Labor booklets and masks to raise awareness and consciousness about the Labor Standards Act and working conditions.
Jangheung-gun is establishing and implementing mid- to long-term project plans for education, counseling, rights restoration support, and community awareness improvement necessary for protecting and promoting labor rights of local youths.
Since last October, basic data has been prepared through a labor rights survey of youths in Jangheung-gun. This survey targeted youths aged 15 to under 18 attending high school within the county and those participating in programs at the Jangheung Youth Training Center, conducting a questionnaire on overall awareness of labor rights and labor conditions.
Jangheung-gun plans to continuously improve the quality of youth labor through ongoing education and promotion.
