'Uljin County to Upgrade to "Gyeongbuk-type Level 2" from the 16th, Maintaining Social Distancing at Level 1.5'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk announced that it will raise the existing social distancing level from 1.5 to level 2 starting from midnight on the 16th.
Although the nationwide level 2 social distancing was implemented in non-metropolitan areas on the 8th, Uljin-gun had maintained level 1.5 until now, considering the stable quarantine situation and the impact on the local economy amid the trend of infection spread in the region.
With the upgrade to level 2 social distancing, restaurants and cafes are only allowed to offer takeout and delivery services after 9 PM. Among the key management facilities, five types of entertainment establishments and singing rooms, and among general management facilities, indoor sports facilities, academies, and vocational training institutions are prohibited from operating after 11 PM.
As the mandatory mask-wearing area expands to the entire indoor space, a fine of 100,000 KRW will be imposed if masks are not worn anywhere indoors. Additionally, various gatherings and events such as weddings, commemorations, and lectures must be held with fewer than 100 people.
