Police Officer Directing Rush Hour Traffic Hit by Car, Unconscious for Three Days
Busan Haeundae Police Station Officer A in his 20s, Groom Married 4 Months Ago

The officer in his 20s is newlywed, having married four months ago, adding to the tragedy.
According to the Busan Police Agency, at around 6:47 p.m. on the 14th, Officer A (29 years old, male) was directing traffic during rush hour at the entrance intersection of Gajanggyo in Jaesong-dong, Haeundae-gu, when he was hit head-on by a vehicle turning left from the Haeundae Police Station direction toward Gwangandaegyo Bridge.
Immediately after the accident, a 119 paramedic passing by provided emergency treatment and urgently transported Officer A to the hospital. He underwent brain surgery but remains unconscious and is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.
Officer A was assigned in 2016 and is a groom who married four months ago.
