BOK Releases Revised Edition of 'Easy-to-Understand Economic Stories'... Major Content Produced as Videos
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Eunbyeol] The Bank of Korea announced on the 16th that it has fully revised and republished "Easy-to-Understand Economic Stories (for the general public)" and will produce videos covering the main contents of the booklet. Since its first publication in 2005, "Easy-to-Understand Economic Stories" has undergone five partial revisions. This is the first full revision.
The revised "Easy-to-Understand Economic Stories" reflects the changes in economic conditions over time and includes timely content. It features recent issues such as environmental protection and central banks, the dual structure of the labor market, a cashless society, and the independence of central banks, and newly adds "The Fourth Industrial Revolution and Economic Changes." Illustrations and graphs that provide an overview of Korea's economic situation have also been reorganized and included.
The Bank of Korea has produced a series of 10 videos, each about 15 minutes long, focusing on the main contents of the booklet. These will be posted sequentially on the Bank of Korea's YouTube channel and website starting mid-month.
