In a statement delivered through his special attorney Lee Wan-gyu on the morning of the same day, Prosecutor General Yoon said, "This illegal and unjust measure, which cited unlawful procedures and baseless reasons to oust a fixed-term Prosecutor General, has severely damaged the political neutrality, independence of the prosecution, and the rule of law," adding, "We will correct the wrongdoing according to the procedures prescribed by the Constitution and laws."
