Fire at KT Gangnam Branch in Gangnam-gu, Seoul... 13 Workers Evacuated
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A fire broke out at the KT Gangnam Branch located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and the fire authorities are conducting extinguishing operations.
According to the fire authorities on the 16th, a fire occurred around 11:12 PM the previous day in the basement level 3 of the KT Gangnam Branch in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu. Thirteen people, including on-site workers, evacuated due to the fire, but fortunately, there were no casualties.
The fire authorities issued Response Level 1, dispatching the entire personnel of the local fire station, deploying 35 fire trucks and 115 personnel, and managed to control the flames around 2:58 AM on the 16th. Currently, Response Level 1 has been lifted, and they are cleaning up the remaining flames.

The police and fire authorities believe the fire started from a lithium-ion battery and plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
