Ulsan Health Teachers' Educational Competency Enhancement Non-Face-to-Face Autonomous Training Implemented
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Hong Jeonghwan] The Ulsan Infectious Disease Prevention Education Research Association conducted a voluntary training session online on the 10th for local elementary and middle school health teachers to enhance their capabilities in infectious disease prevention education.
This training introduced student-centered participatory teaching methods that are practically helpful in changing students' attitudes to comply with infectious disease prevention rules. They also shared opinions on creative teaching methods that teachers can implement during actual class time.
The research association is a professional learning community formed outside of schools this year, established by elementary and middle school health teachers to revitalize infectious disease prevention education.
They have developed lesson plans and resource books to share with frontline health teachers, and besides this training, they have held several internal workshops.
