Kakao Bank's '26-Week Savings with Market Kurly' Surpasses 100,000 Accounts in 4 Days
[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] KakaoBank announced on the 15th that its '26-Week Savings With Market Kurly,' launched on the 10th, surpassed 100,000 cumulative account openings by the 13th, just four days after its release.
A KakaoBank official explained, "Considering the timing before the maturity of the '26-Week Savings With Emart,' which was launched last August, reaching 100,000 accounts in just four days is a very rapid pace."
'26-Week Savings With Market Kurly' is KakaoBank's second 'Partner Savings' product following '26-Week Savings With Emart,' launched through collaboration between KakaoBank and a non-financial company. Only one account per person can be opened until the 23rd.
Customers who sign up receive various benefits such as free shipping and discount coupons over a total of seven occasions upon successful automatic transfer payments. Additionally, a prize draw with a 100% winning chance is held for all subscribers (excluding those who cancel).
KakaoBank views the popularity of the product as stemming from not only interest benefits through savings but also the opportunity to enjoy discounts while shopping and to receive limited-edition goods such as Market Kurly mugs featuring Kakao Friends characters.
